The country is the largest trading partner of Saudi Arabia. In 2018, the trade volume between the two countries reached US$61.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 32%, accounting for 17% of Saudi Arabia’s total foreign trade during the same period. Among them, the amount of Saudi Arabia’s exports of crude oil and non-oil products to China increased by 51% and 56% year-on-year respectively, and Saudi Arabia’s trade surplus was US$16.9 billion, an increase of 210.8% year-on-year.
