SASO TECHNICAL REGULATION FOR TEXTILE PRODUCTS SABER SYSTEM PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

Saudi Standard ,Metrology and Quality Organization ( SASO)recently announced the full technical regulation implementation schedule on SABER .
Technical regulation for Textile Products will be implemented on SABER starting
from O1-Dec-2019 .Products falling under the scope of this regulation will have to be registered through SABER for importing into Saudi Arabia after implementation date

PRODUCTS COVERED UNDER THIS REGULATION

• Silk                                              

• Wool

• Cotton

• Other Textile Fibers ,Paper Yarns and Woven Fabrics

• Synthetic or artificial laments

• Not continuous synthetic or articial laments

• Filler of felt and nonwovens ,special yarns ,yarns of bundles and ropes,motherboards and Lars varieties made of them

• Carpets and floor coverings of testile materials

• Special woven fabrics ,Ubar fabrics made of textile materials ,gears (dantella),tapestries

• Impregnated ,coated ,covered or laminated textile fabrics ,textile articles for technical or industrial use

• Knitted or crocheted fabrics

• Clothing and accessories of clothing ,not knitted or crocheted

• Other readymade textile articles,kits,used clothing and textile articles

• Shoes and the like ,woven parts in these varieties

SABER SYSTEM

SABER system is a web-based application designed by SASO for the issuance the Certificate of Conformity for Products and generating shipments certificate .Also it enables the CBs from submitting their applicaton to SASO through electronic system
SABER system provides an integration(real synchronization ) with related entities such as customs.
IT Also helps traders and importers to building database of their products.

Importer Registration
Importer trade license copy
IQAMA/National ID/Passport unmber of the Importer contact person representative
E-signature of the signatory -JPEG format
Company Stamp -JPEG format
Porduct Certificate of Conformity
     Test Reports from ISO 17025 accredited lab
Production Quality Control Plan , if applicable
Declaration of Conformity by the Importer
Photos of the Marking and Labelling on the product
Instruction Manuals (Arabic & English ),if applicable
Other documents /requirements as per applicable technical regulation of each product

Shipment Certificate

Export Commercial Invoice
Barcode number of each line item
Technical Data sheet
Country of Origin Certificate for the shipment
Production Date of each line item
Exporter Name and Address
Manufacturer /Exporter Commercial Register/Trade Licence Number
